I spent the weekend reviewing some great books and blogs. My dear friend and legal technology luminary, Tom Mighell has written two books specifically to help lawyers with iPads. He authored iPad in One Hour for Lawyers and quickly followed it up with iPad Apps in One Hour for Lawyers. One of the happiest lawyers I know, Dave Sparks, has written a very thorough book called iPad at Work. I also grabbed really great tips from it. (Two lucky attendees at my seminar are going to win copies of iPad in One Hour and iPad at Work!)
Those three books are most certainly NOT the end of the road if you are looking for more information on how lawyers are using iPads in the courtroom, in meetings and in the office. There are many, many lawyers and legal technology experts writing about iPhones and iPads and reviewing the growing number of apps for lawyers. During presentations and while casually talking to lawyers, it's become harder for me to rattle them all off and I always feel bad later when I realize I left one off; so I decided to try and capture as many of them into one place - I created a resources page with tips, posts, blogs, books and articles on iPads for legal professionals. It's growing regularly (and especially this week in prep for my seminar) so visit frequently. I'm happy to add your suggestions, so please send them in.
