BIG NIGHT for me and my six (yes, six) dogs this past Saturday. I got caught up on my Tommy Lee Goes to College episodes. THANK GOD they ran them in a marathon. The show chronicles Tommy's heart-filled and honest attempt at attending college. It was really funny. But not being one to uni-task, I was casually and erratically wandering around the net. Thought I might share with you some of my finds...
Having put in my time at a help desk - I ♥
Rob Robinson (babe with a Blawg, btw) has two cool blogs that I finally had time to visit...Cool Tools for Online Fools and InfoGovernance.
At TECHSHOW Ross Kodner and Jim Calloway both mentioned LogMeIn.com as a free alternate to GoToMyPC - so I signed up for that and tried it yesterday - works like a charm. It's a free trial and then its free-ness loses some features but you can still LogYouIn once the trial expires. Give it a whirl.
I got an email about this blog which is pretty cool, The Microsoft Office Reporter. It aggregates tips and info from other blogs about all things MS. You can search by application. Matter of fact, here's a good blog post I just pulled off of there from the Workplace Life blog: When to Use Excel Vs. Access. The Office Letter is another good one for MS. Check out MS's own Work Essentials for Paralegals - good stuff for anyone there. Another good one for Microsoft Word at Add Balance. And I also have a little collection of good Word Resources for Lawyers as well as one for PowerPoint resources. They're works in progress so check back.
Many great sites were shared at TECHSHOW - the very popular 60 Sites in 60 Minutes list is up (and I'm not just mentioning it because THIS blog made the cut!;) This one came from 60 sites - its HYSTERICAL - SorryGottaGo.com. And don't forget about the TECHSHOW blog!
Aaron Wright sent an email telling me about his Wiki-Law's LOFTY mission: to create a free, complete, up-to-date, and reliable world-wide legal guide and resource. In other words, our mission is to become the Wikipedia of the legal world.
Carter Henderson has a nice blog at ClarisLaw where he covers a variety of topics in legal tech and the business of law. (Nevermind his wondering about Techshow 2007 - we all know better ;) ClarisLaw.com is another good site - it "intends to bring together legal professionals from all corners of the legal community to create a vast, rich reservoir of up-to-the-moment legal news, opinions and information."
If you havent seen Visual Thesaurus, check it out. It's amazing and only $20/yr.
I found Technotheory thru PrismLegal's blog. Technotheory is just such one of those words that totally turns me on.

Glad you liked the article! It's always nice when someone provides feedback on my work. I like your site btw, I always appreciate people who take the time to make their work look good =).
Six dogs? Me and my fiance are thinking about getting ONE, and we are having concerns about taking care of it =p.

Thanks for the link (helpdesktalk)! A forum is such a difficult undertaking to start because people don't like to post until it reaches "critical mass". Every link really helps the community so much. You're blog looks really interesting, I'm now subscribed!
