In Windows XP, you can rename a group of files all at once. Here's how:
- Select the files you want to rename.
- Right-click any of the selected files and choose Rename from the pop-up menu (or press the F2 key).
- Type the new name for the selected file and press Enter. All the files are renamed and given the same name followed by a number in parentheses. For example, if you select three files and rename the first file EngagementLetter.doc, the other two files will be renamed EngagementLetter (1).doc and EngagementLetter (2).doc.
